Garbage is collected every Thursday, with Bulk Collection on the third Thursday of every month. Recycling alternates on Wednesdays. For more detailed information relating to garbage, yard waste and recycling collection, please go to the Garbage and Recycling subsite by selecting the tab from the menu to the left.
The Canfield Avenue School
Mine Hill has an excellent K-6 school system. The Canfield Avenue School is a Blue Ribbon School and has been declared a National School of Excellence.
