Mine Hill Fire Department

Organized in 1915, the MHFD has been dedicated to protecting the lives and properties of the residents of Mine Hill for almost 87 years. The MHFD stands ready each and every day of the year to respond, at a moment's notice, 25 hours a day. The members take great pride in maintaining all of the vehicles and equipment. Each year the Department participates in various activities (parades, antique musters, etc.) with the side benefit of always having the vehicles and equipment in tip top shape.

In addition to protecting life and property, the Fire Department sponsors many activities throughout the year such as the Annual Easter Egg Hunt, the Halloween Parade, and Santa Claus' ride through the town. In addition, we sponsor many organizations each year such as the Boy Scouts, Little League, Dover Football, etc. Fireman's Field and the children's playground area, which is used by all, it also maintained by the Fire Department.

As always, the Fire Department is looking for volunteer firefighters. If you would like to apply, please stop by the Fire House any Monday evening between 7 and 9, and we will be glad to show you around!
