Mayor and Council


The Township of Mine Hill is governed by a Mayor and five Council members. The Mayor is elected to a 4-year term; the Council members are elected to staggered 4-year terms.

The Mayor is the head of the Township Administration and, together with the Township Administrator and Departmental personnel, is responsible for the day to day operations of the Township.

The five-member Township Council is empowered to enact Ordinances, adopt Resolutions, adopt the Municipal, Water, Sewer and Special District (garbage collection and recycling) budgets, levy municipal taxes and conduct all legislative functions of the Township government. The Township Council conducts its business during twice monthly meetings open to the public held on the first and third Thursday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at the municipal building at 10 Baker Street.
